IN THE NAME OF ART!

 

A little over a year ago, I founded the platform Eyecandy Frankfurt. Among other things, it was the intention to create a place where artists connect, but also a place for "art enthusiasts". 

 

In addition, you can find artists from your own area, which is also important, because often you do not even know what great "creators" there are around us ;-)

 

With now more than 150  artists, we grow more and more together to a family. And one of the best moments for me is when everyone comes together to create new things or present themselves together. 

 

It shows a level and unity where you meet at eye level, that is, like-minded people. In the same way, it also shows the uniqueness of each artist, which is all the more beautiful, the more personal the art is.

 

Because exactly this diversity is variety and this is a unique gift and enrichment. For everyone, be it those who make art or those who consume it. 

 

In the word enrichment is not for naught the word "rich", because only things that enRICH us can also nourish us in the long term. Spiritually and/or financially.

 

MAY I PARTICIPATE OR NOT? 

 

About the way of "making" and "creating bridges", I still notice how some people are still afraid to make YOUR art or YOUR project. Personally, I think it doesn't matter if we create art "only" in our free time or "only" full-time. It doesn't diminish or increase the seriousness of an artist. But the more focused we are, the better we get and learn to rise above ourselves as a result. At least some of us... ))

 

 

THE QUESTION IS RATHER IF A WORK OF ART IS WORTH TO BE CREATED! 

 

I think art is NEVER for the masses. You don't create art by trying to please EVERYONE. You can of course create something so banal that it is so indifferent that no one bothers to reject it. Many examples can be found in the music world...but usually we make art because we can't help it. Because it means so much to us, so it is pressed through our sense organs. And if it has meaning to ourselves, it will have meaning to someone else.

 

MEANINGFULNESS SUCCUMBS TO THE BEAUTY OF SHARING.

 

Do you create and share YOUR art, YOUR songs, YOUR images, YOUR story...even if it touches only one person, YOU have achieved more than you ever imagined! 

 

Artists are storytellers and therefore the philosophers of all our senses. That's why art reaches EVERYONE and manages, like no other element, to connect people with each other. More - than any religion we know. 

 

Let us celebrate BEEING and SWAPSKILLS!
