Christian Teves Born in 1977 Under communism, raised under capitalism. Artist and DJ since 1993.   

As an artist he developed in the 90s influenced by the subcultures of that era. At that time there was an outstanding graffiti scene in his area when it was still a pure subculture. He found it inspiring because the underground nature of the scene, its print media and musical associations with hip-hop and club culture moved him to start making art and remain involved to this day. He was also influenced by poster and photographic art and his love of comics. 

Today he uses the techniques of these subcultures in his collages and continues to develop his style. First and foremost he has no specific intention to express himself, what comes out in the end he does not know beforehand. He lets creativity happen and then often something political, decorative or obscure happens out of curiosity or out of a process of rearranging or alienating print media. 

His vision is to incorporate print media, streak art, photo art, stencil art, poster art, and comic art and paste them onto canvas, wood, or other materials. This all becomes a compilation of the above art forms in one work, practically an approach to a total work of art. 

As a DJ from Vienna to Hamburg a guarantor for an intelligent and deepe selection of vinyl grenades. As a slide-mat ripper, he is known for deep-surgery music stakes. Christian and his alter ego E.M.B.D.A. fight against the musical garbage. Armed with a record case that speaks for itself and to you, E.M.B.D.A. has been one of the most notorious phono instrumentalists around for over 25 years. He caresses the vinyls with so much elegance and finesse that dancefloor critics often experience intense anandamite storms on the floor. His virtuous skills on the mixer and the phono player have made him an established figure in nightlife. He has led his club nights since the early nineties in various venues and changing musical crews that have brought national artists to Hamburg, Frankfurt and Vienna. From the turn of the millennium, he was the creator of Burningdown club nights. Als Künstler entwickelte er sich in den 90ern beeinflusst durch die Subkulturen dieser Ära. Die Techniken dieser Subkulturen verwendet er Heute in seinen Collagen und entwickelt sein Stil ständig weiter. In erster Linie hat er keine spezifische Absicht sich auszudrücken, was am Ende herauskommt weiß er vorher nicht. Er lässt die Kreativität geschehen und dann passiert oft etwas Politisches, Dekoratives oder Obskures aus Neugier bzw. aus einem  Prozess heraus, Printmedien neu zu arrangieren oder zu verfremden. 

Seine Vision ist es Printmedien, Streeart, Fotokunst, Schablonenkunst, Plakatkunst und Comickunst einzubeziehen und auf Leinwand, Holz oder andere Materialien zu kleben. Das alles wird zu einer Zusammenstellung der oben genannten Kunstformen in einem Werk, praktisch eine Annäherung an ein Gesamtkunstwerk. 

Als DJ von Wien bis Hamburg ein Garant für eine intelligente und Deepe Auswahl an Vinylgranaten. Als Rutschmattenzerreißer ist er für Tiefenchirurgische Musik Einsätze bekannt. Christian und sein Alter Ego E.M.B.D.A. kämpfen gegen den musikalischen Unrat. Bewaffnet mit einer Plattenkiste, die für sich und mit euch spricht, gehört E.M.B.D.A. seit über 25 Jahren zu den berüchtigtsten Phono Instrumentallisten überhaupt. Er streichelt die Vinyls mit so viel Eleganz und Finesse das Dancefloorkritiker häufig intensive Anandamitstürme auf dem Parkett erleben. Durch seine tugendhaften Fähigkeiten am Mischer und dem Phonospieler ist er eine etablierte Figur im Nachtleben geworden. Er hat seine Clubnächte schon in den frühen Neunzigern in verschiedenen Locations und wechselnden musikalischen Besatzungen geführt, die nationale Künstler nach Hamburg, Frankfurt und Wien gebracht haben. Von der Wende des Jahrtausends an war er Schöpfer der Burningdown Clubnächte.
