My name is Mete Atak. I am a photo & videographer and live in Frankfurt.

My main focus is portraits-commercial photography, commercials, documentaries, image films, but painting is also part of my creative streak.

Originally, my artistic career started in 2009. A good friend put a camera in my hand one day with the words, "Shoot some photos." Since then, this medium hasn't let me go. It was love at first click, so to speak.

I still find the aesthetics of the end result and the art of pressing the button at the right moment fascinating. In 2014, I was awarded "Photographer of the Month" by Spiegel View and this recognition made me take the step into self-employment. I finally found my calling behind the lens.

My previous clients include not only (tattoo) models, but also successful companies, which I skillfully put in the right light. Among others, I worked with one of Germany's best-known sales coaches.

There are two hearts beating in me: one shows itself in the form of clearly structured business photos, which authentically reflect entrepreneurs and businesswomen, and the other beats for melancholically gloomy character portraits, which invite you to dive into another world.

In my spare time I work on numerous creative projects. "Projektstrass3" is one of them and an absolute project of my heart! As the name suggests, it is about people who live on the street and tell their stories. The goal is to record their personal fates to the outside world photographically and by means of a documentary film. One day I would like to present this to the public.

Mein Name ist Mete Atak. Ich bin Foto-&Videograf und wohne in Frankfurt.

Meine Schwerpunkte sind Porträts-Werbefotografie, Werbefilme, Dokumentationen, Imagefilme, aber auch das Malen gehört zu meiner kreativen Ader dazu.

Ursprünglich hat meine künstlerische Karriere 2009 angefangen. Ein guter Freund hat mir eines Tages eine Kamera in die Hand gedrückt mit den Worten: „Schieß‘ mal paar Fotos“. Seitdem hat mich dieses Medium nicht mehr losgelassen. Es war sozusagen Liebe auf den ersten Klick.

Die Ästhetik des Endergebnisses und die Kunst im richtigen Moment auf den Knopf zu drücken, finde ich bis heute noch faszinierend. 2014 wurde ich von Spiegel View zum „Fotografen des Monats“ ausgezeichnet und diese Anerkennung brachte mich dazu, den Schritt in die Selbstständigkeit zu wagen. Meine Berufung fand ich schließlich hinter der Linse.

Zu meinen bisherigen Kunden zählen nicht nur (Tattoo-)Models, sondern auch erfolgreiche Unternehmen, die ich gekonnt in das richtige Licht setzte. Ich arbeitete unteranderem mit einem von Deutschlands bekanntesten Verkäufer-Coaches zusammen.

In mir schlagen zwei Herzen: Das eine zeigt sich in Form von klarstrukturierte Business-Fotos, die Unternehmer und Unternehmerinnen authentisch widerspiegeln und das andere schlägt für melancholisch düsteren Charakter-Porträts, die dazu einladen, in eine andere Welt einzutauchen.

In meiner Freizeit arbeite ich an zahlreichen kreativen Projekten. „Projektstrass3“ ist eins davon und ein absolutes Herzensprojekt! Wie der Name bereits vermuten lässt, geht es um Menschen, die auf der Straße leben und ihrer Geschichten erzählen. Ziel ist es, ihre persönlichen Schicksale nach außen fotografisch und mittels eines Dokumentationsfilms festhalten. Dies möchte ich eines Tages gerne dem öffentlichen Publikum präsentieren.
