Silvia Schmitt, also known as Topenga, is a contemporary artist from Friedberg (Hesse). Already in her childhood she discovers her passion for figurative drawing with colored pencil and pencil. Inspired by various artists, in 2014 she develops the ambition to draw people photorealistically. Fascinated by the challenge, she often works up to 20 hours a day to improve her technique.  

Silvia especially loves to depict people. In the past she has spent a lot of time drawing portraits and is especially inspired by people with an extraordinary charisma. She loves "character faces", faces that tell a story and attract attention. There is a saying that drawings are like poems without words. This is exactly the goal Silvia tries to achieve, that her artwork is thought-provoking. In essence, however, she draws what she sees and feels. It is her goal to capture the soul and beauty of each individual and to convey her feelings to other artists and people interested in art.  

Silvia's work is characterized by a great attention to detail and deals primarily with motifs from the world of film and television. The work-intensive commitment of the artist has been awarded several times, including the American Art Award.

Silvia Schmitt, auch bekannt als Topenga, ist eine zeitgenössische Künstlerin aus Friedberg (Hessen). Bereits in ihrer Kindheit entdeckt sie ihre Leidenschaft für das figürliche Zeichnen mit Bunt- und Bleistift. Inspiriert durch diverse Künstler entwickelt sie 2014 die Ambition, Menschen fotorealistisch zu zeichnen. Fasziniert von der Herausforderung arbeitet sie oft bis zu 20 Stunden am Tag, um ihre Technik zu verbessern.  

Silvia liebt es besonders Menschen darzustellen. In der Vergangenheit hat sie viel Zeit damit verbracht Portraits zu zeichnen und lässt sich hierbei besonders von Menschen mit einer außergewöhnlichen Ausstrahlung begeistern. Sie liebt „Charaktergesichter“, Gesichter, die eine Geschichte erzählen und Aufmerksamkeit erregen. Es gibt ein Sprichwort, dass Zeichnungen wie Gedichte ohne Worte sind. Genau dieses Ziel versucht Silvia zu erreichen, dass ihre Kunstwerke zum Nachdenken anregen. In der Essenz zeichnet sie aber, was sie sieht und fühlt. Es ist ihr Ziel, die Seele und Schönheit eines jeden Individuums einzufangen und ihre Gefühle anderen Künstlern und Kunstinteressierten zu vermitteln.  

Silvias Arbeiten zeichnen sich durch eine große Liebe zum Detail aus und befassen sich vornehmlich mit Motiven aus der Film- und Fernsehwelt. Das arbeitsintensive Engagement der Künstlerin ist mehrfach ausgezeichnet u.a. mit dem American Art Award.
