She lives and works in Frankfurt. Bianca Thater works the different tree trunks almost exclusively with the chainsaw. Bianca Thater bearbeitet die unterschiedlichen Baumstämme fast ausschließlich mit der Motorsäge. Anschließend werden die Werke mit der Schleifmaschine bearbeitet und dann wird eine sanfte Farbigkeit gegeben. Trotz der Bearbeitung mit grobem Werkzeug aus vollen Stämmen wirken die Skulpturen jedoch nicht rau und schroff, sondern strahlen vielmehr eine Lebendigkeit aus und gehen oft in einen Dialog mit dem Gegenüber. Durch das Fehlen der Gesichtsmerkmale ergibt sich ein Betrachten und Verstehen der ganzheitlichen figürlichen Abbildung. From 8 years old I made small plaster figures and ceramic vases that my father taught me to make, and I discover there a real vocation. Then I discover porcelain painting at my neighbor's house. Ab 8 Jahren machte ich kleine Gipsfiguren und Keramikvasen, die mein Vater mir beibrachte zu machen, und ich entdecke dort eine echte Berufung. Dann entdecke ich bei meiner Nachbarin die Porzellanmalerei. Ich fühlte mich von allem angezogen, was mit Kunst zu tun hat, und wollte die schönen Künste machen. Mein Vater widersetzt sich ihr, was er später bereuen wird, wenn er meine Zeichnungen betrachtet. Ich beginne also eine Business School und werde 10 Jahre lang Manager, bis meine beiden Töchter geboren werden. Ich melde mich für einen Seidenmalereikurs ein, nach 3 Jahren bittet mich die Lehrerin, den Unterricht an ihrer Stelle zu geben. Ich erstelle "Attifes" eine Gruppe von Handwerkern, wo ich 12 Jahre lang präsidiere. Seit nunmehr 30 Jahren unterrichte ich verschiedene Techniken der Malerei , Acryl, Mischtechniken und eine Methode mit dem Titel "Zeichnen mit dem rechten Gehirn". Daneben gründe ich eine Betreuungswerkstatt mit einer Galerie, die ich 18 Jahre lang behalte. Nach einem Schlaganfall entscheide ich mich zu verkaufen, weil eine Infragestellung notwendig ist, ich behalte trotzdem die Tätigkeit in der Betreuung, die ich zu Hause ausführe, mit allen geeigneten Materialien. Aber ich fahre mit der Malerei und den Höfen fort, ich füge nach und nach Teer zu meiner Malerei hinzu, Die Landschaft vor allem die Berge werden das Hauptthema meiner Bildforschung; Schnee, sondern auch Regen. The time came when I had to change my life. The path began with an inward look and the question: who am I? And the more awareness I gained about myself, the greater the clarity became - who I am and what I want. I started anew. I did training and further education in the areas that interested me. I started my own business and quit my old job. Now I work with people of all kinds from 5-99 years. Among other things, I accompany them into their creativity. A process - allowing yourself to let other colors into your life can be a big step. Life can be so beautifully colorful - with so much joy in it. Kleinen Bühnen meistens. Die gefallen mir sehr. Weil man nah dran ist am Publikum. Manchmal aber auch in großen Hallen. Das gefällt mir auch. Weil man viel Raum hat. Lange Zeit habe ich meist Gnome, Jünglinge und Fabelwesen verkörpert. Aber dann war's mal gut und ich habe auch öfter richtige Frauen gespielt. Das war noch besser. Und irgendwann habe ich angefangen immer öfter MELLI zu spielen. Irgendwie haut das am besten hin. Ab und zu singe ich auch, weil ich Musik über alles liebe. Und vor allem liebe ich es mit anderen Künstlerinnen und Künstlern etwas zusammen zu machen. Deswegen habe ich eine Talkshow ins Leben gerufen, wo alles zusammen geht. Musik, Kunst, Reden, Trinken und Essen. Und Spontanität. Sachen, die ich liebe eben, mit Menschen, die ich liebe. Noch bin ich auf der Suche nach einem Ort, den ich so gestalten kann, wie ich es mir wünsche. Vielleicht finde ich den noch. Wenn nicht, dann kauf ich mir ein Häuschen in Griechenland - oder so... Born in Frankfurt, grew up in the countryside near Hanau, it finally took me to the "big" city in 2018. For about 3 years I live in the beautiful Ostend in Frankfurt. In the 3 years, the city has been good to me, sometimes against me. In quiet moments and in loud moments, then when there was great chaos or all was completely clear- my camera was always by my side. And so I went off again and again and photographed the city in all its facets. Depending on how you feel at the moment, Frankfurt looks different every day. But today I don't want to focus only on cityphotography. I love to discover new spots outside of Frankfurt, to see new things - to feel free in photography. I need variety, want to create moments, express different emotions. Since 2020 my passion for portrait photography was awakened. I enjoy working with other people and implementing joint projects and ideas. What I love most of all? Pulling the trigger at the moment when the model or the customer is not expecting it. This is how the most beautiful snapshots are created. _____ Mein Name ist Kerstin und ich fotografiere. In Frankfurt geboren, auf dem Land in der Nähe von Hanau aufgewachsen, verschlug es mich letztendlich 2018 in die „große“ Stadt. Seit ca. 3 Jahren wohne ich im wunderschönen Ostend in Frankfurt. In den 3 Jahren war die Stadt gut zu mir, manchmal gegen mich. In leisen Momenten und in lauten Momenten, dann wenn großes Chaos herrschte oder alle komplett klar war- meine Kamera war immer an meiner Seite. Und somit zog ich immer wieder los und fotografierte die Stadt in all ihren Facetten. Je nachdem, wie man sich gerade fühlt, sieht Frankfurt jeden Tag anders aus. Heute möchte ich mich aber nicht nur auf die Cityphotography fokussieren. Ich liebe es auch außerhalb von Frankfurt neue Spots zu entdecken, Neues zu sehen – sich in der Fotografie frei zu fühlen. Ich brauche Abwechslung, möchte Momente schaffen, verschiedene Emotionen ausdrücken. Seit 2020 wurde meine Leidenschaft zur Portraitfotografie geweckt. Mir macht es Spaß mit anderen Leuten zusammenzuarbeiten und gemeinsame Projekte und Ideen umzusetzen. Was ich ganz besonders liebe? Artistic talent was certified during my school career. My path was different. However: without artistic creation it did not go. About 20 years ago I dug out my talent again. My painting style is very free and ends in abstraction, often still in rudiments as representational to guess. Previously, agricultural livestock often characterized my subject - a theme to which I am always faithful. My drive is to exceed my limits again and again, to break through my current possibilities, to achieve a next, higher level of painterly skill and to face the confrontation with my claims. I want to offer the viewer a delightful visual experience, touch him and offer a feast for the eyes. Gladly also in small bites. In my 'Artsnacks' series, I've created small formats for art lovers whose hearts beat for originals but don't have huge walls. Mein Weg verlief anders. Allerdings: ohne künstlerisches Schaffen ging es nicht. Vor ca. 20 Jahren habe ich mein Talent wieder ausgegraben. Mein Malstil ist sehr frei und mündet in Abstraktion, oft noch in Ansätzen als gegenständlich zu erahnen. Zuvor prägten häufig landwirtschaftliche Nutztiere mein Sujet – ein Thema, dem ich immer wieder treu bin. Mein Antrieb ist, meine Grenzen immer wieder zu überschreiten, meine derzeitigen Möglichkeiten zu durchbrechen, eine nächste, höhere Stufe des malerischen Könnens zu erlangen und mich der Auseinandersetzung mit meinen Ansprüchen zu stellen. Dem Betrachter möchte ich eine herrliche visuelle Erfahrung bieten, ihn berühren und einen Augenschmaus bieten. Gerne auch in kleinen Häppchen.
